Saudi Arabia and Russia have signed 13 agreements and partnerships worth SR4.8 billion during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as both countries seek to deepen trade and investment cooperation across several strategic sectors.
The agreements were signed while the Kingdom participated in the forum as the guest of honour, with Saudi officials highlighting the importance of strengthening economic ties between Riyadh and Moscow.
Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Mansour Al-Mushaiti said the agreements support efforts to improve food security, localise advanced technologies and strengthen supply chains linked to agriculture and livestock production.
The deals cover a range of sectors, including veterinary vaccine manufacturing, poultry breeding development and securing feed supply chains aimed at supporting sustainable growth in the livestock industry.
Officials also announced partnerships focused on expanding exports of Saudi seafood products, including shrimp and fish, through Russian companies involved in global distribution and imports.
Additional agreements included cooperation in camel milk production, Saudi coffee exports and the soft drinks sector.
Al-Mushaiti said the participation of Saudi Arabia in the forum reflects the growing strategic partnership between the two countries and ongoing efforts to expand investment opportunities and commercial cooperation.
The agreements were signed in the presence of government representatives and private-sector companies from both sides during the economic gathering in St. Petersburg.
