Pearl Petroleum has announced a major $10.2 billion investment plan to expand natural gas production in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq over the next decade, in what is expected to become one of the region’s largest energy development programmes. The 2026–2035 expansion plan aims to more than double output from 750 million to 1.65 billion cubic feet per day by scaling operations at the Khor Mor and Chamchamal fields in Sulaimani province.
