Saudi Arabia Helps 63,000 Families Buy First Homes

More than 63,000 Saudi families became first-time homeowners during the first half of 2026 as the Kingdom continued expanding access to affordable housing through its Sakani program. The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing said 63,076 families moved into their first homes between January and June, including 12,004 families in June alone. During the same period, 48,631 families benefited from housing support services, with 10,160 receiving assistance in June. Since its launch in 2017, the Sakani program has facilitated 1,046,890 subsidized housing contracts, offering a range of options including ready-built homes, off-plan properties, self-construction and residential land.
