Andrew Tate Arrested In US Over UK Rape Charges

British-American influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, have been arrested in Miami following an extradition request from the United Kingdom, where they face new criminal charges, including rape, human trafficking and assault.

The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrests but said details of the warrant remain confidential. Video shared by US media showed the brothers being escorted in handcuffs by law enforcement officers.

Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service said it had filed additional charges against the pair, including rape, arranging or facilitating human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and offences involving indecent images of a child.

Prosecutors said the UK formally requested the brothers’ extradition after new evidence emerged in the case.

Andrew and Tristan Tate, who hold both British and US citizenship, moved to Romania in 2016. They were arrested there in 2022 over allegations of recruiting women for sexual exploitation. The brothers denied the accusations, and Romanian prosecutors later dropped that case, citing legal and procedural issues.

The Tate brothers, both former professional kickboxers, have built a large online following by promoting an image of wealth and what critics describe as extreme masculinity.

The latest UK case relates to allegations that the brothers abused women in north London between 2012 and 2015. Their legal representatives have said they deny all charges.
