Kuwait Military Leaders Review National Security Coordination

Kuwait’s senior military and security leaders met on Monday to review coordination efforts and discuss ways to strengthen cooperation among the country’s key security institutions.

The meeting of the Supreme Military Committee was chaired by Chief of the General Staff Lt Gen Khaled Al-Shuraian. It was attended by Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib, National Guard Undersecretary Lt Gen Hamad Al-Barjas and Chief of the Kuwait Fire Force Lt Gen Talal Al-Roumi.

According to the General Staff, the officials examined joint coordination between military and security agencies and explored measures to enhance integration of their responsibilities in line with current national requirements.

The discussions also focused on unifying efforts to maintain high levels of operational readiness and preparedness.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj Gen Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and several senior military and security commanders also attended the meeting.
