Dubai will unveil an iconic padel court on November 8 as the Emaar Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament begins. The new attraction will welcome players and visitors, marking the start of eight days of international competition. Organisers plan to introduce the court during an opening event in one of Dubai’s most recognisable locations.
The tournament runs from November 8 to 15 at Hamdan Sports Complex. Meanwhile, organisers will unveil the new court at Dubai Opera Garden, overlooking the Burj Khalifa. The location aims to combine professional sport with Dubai’s distinctive urban setting, creating a memorable experience for players and spectators.
The project also reflects Dubai’s efforts to expand its sporting attractions and strengthen its international reputation. Furthermore, the tournament will bring leading men’s and women’s padel players to the emirate. Fans can expect competitive matches alongside hospitality services, entertainment and activities throughout the event.
The competition will offer players ranking points and prize money across the eight-day schedule. In addition, organisers expect prominent international names to participate in this year’s tournament. Among those expected are Agustín Tapia, Fede Chingotto, Ale Galán, Delfi Brea and Bea González.
The new iconic padel court forms a central part of the tournament’s opening-day programme. However, organisers have yet to release full details about its design and the planned launch activities. They expect to share further information about the unveiling and public programme in the coming weeks.
Iván Modia, chief executive of Gallop Global and tournament director, said Dubai continued to raise expectations for sports and entertainment. He explained that the initiative supports the city’s ambition to develop distinctive sporting experiences. Modia also credited Emaar’s support with helping bring padel to wider audiences.
He added that the tournament contributes to Dubai’s position as an international destination for padel. Moreover, the event aims to connect professional competition with experiences that appeal to both dedicated players and casual fans. The new venue adds another sporting attraction to the emirate’s expanding leisure offering.
The tournament takes place under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Sports Council. His patronage highlights the event’s connection with Dubai’s broader sporting ambitions. Organisers hope the competition will further raise the profile of padel across the region.
Tickets start at AED 45, making the tournament accessible to spectators seeking to attend matches in person. As preparations continue, fans can look forward to a week combining international competition and entertainment. The November 8 launch will introduce the new court before the tournament concludes on November 15.
With the opening approaching, the iconic padel court is expected to attract attention beyond the competition itself. The venue’s prominent setting and international line-up could help broaden public interest in padel. Further announcements will clarify the launch arrangements and additional experiences available to visitors.
