Bahrain and U.S. Strengthen Human Rights Efforts

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) in Bahrain continues to expand its role in protecting human rights. On Thursday, Engineer Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, the chairman of NIHR, met with Ms. Laila Faskens, head of the Office of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the U.S. State Department. Officials from the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain also attended the meeting. The discussions focused on strengthening human rights efforts between both nations.

During the meeting, Al-Derazi highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to human rights. He explained the institution’s recent initiatives and outlined future plans. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between Bahrain and international organizations. Strengthening human rights efforts remains a priority for both sides.
