The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Qatar following a maritime incident that resulted in the death of a Qatari citizen and the injury of another person.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its sincere condolences to the family of the victim, as well as to the government and people of Qatar.
The ministry also wished a speedy recovery to the injured person.
According to the statement, the incident was caused by fragments resulting from military operations in the region.
The UAE reaffirmed its support for Qatar during the difficult circumstances and expressed sympathy over the loss of life.
