Sharjah Introduces New Sewage Management Service Fee Starting April 2025

Sharjah: The Sharjah Executive Council has announced a new sewage management service fee. It will be effective from April 1, 2025. This fee will be added to the bills issued by the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA). The charge will be at a rate of 1.5 fils per gallon of water consumed.

Emirati citizens will be exempt from this charge, as per the new decision. The announcement was made during a meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council. The meeting was led by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
