Zainal Mosque Inaugurated in Hamad Town

In a significant development for Hamad Town, the Zainal Mosque officially opened its doors to the public. The inauguration took place in alignment with the directive from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. His Royal Highness ordered the renovation and opening of 40 mosques across all governorates in Bahrain. This initiative aims to enhance the places of worship for the growing population.

The opening ceremony of the mosque began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Following this, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Ftais Al Hajri, the Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, delivered a speech. He emphasized the prosperous era under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, highlighting the ongoing progress in mosque construction across Bahrain. Dr. Al Hajri also expressed gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Crown Prince for the development of places of worship.

Moreover, Dr. Al Hajri acknowledged the importance of the mosque in society. He noted that the project reflected the leadership’s commitment to maintaining the religious significance of mosques in the Kingdom. The design of the mosque was carefully selected to reflect the Bahraini character while accommodating the expanding urban landscape of Hamad Town.

The Chairman also took a moment to thank the Zainal family for their generous contribution to the construction of the mosque. He congratulated the residents of Hamad Town, noting that the mosque will greatly benefit the local community. The mosque’s opening provides a much-needed space for worshipers to perform their religious duties.

In terms of specifications, the mosque covers an area of 1,076 square meters, with the building itself occupying 816 square meters. The mosque can accommodate up to 400 worshipers. It includes separate prayer halls for men and women, parking spaces, and various service facilities.

In conclusion, the opening of the Zainal Mosque in Hamad Town marks an important milestone in Bahrain’s commitment to developing places of worship across the Kingdom. With continued support for mosque projects, Bahrain remains dedicated to enhancing community spaces for spiritual growth.
