UAE Launches App To Report Extremist Threats

The UAE has launched a new mobile application aimed at strengthening public participation in reporting extremist activities and suspicious behaviour, as authorities seek to enhance national security.

The State Security Department said the SSD UAE app allows residents to confidentially report potential security threats directly to law enforcement agencies.

Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the platform is designed to improve communication between the public and security authorities while supporting efforts to prevent extremist activity.

In addition to submitting reports, users can access security awareness materials, media content, official security lists and other digital services provided through the application.

The launch comes as the UAE continues to strengthen its domestic security measures. Earlier this year, authorities announced they had dismantled a network linked to Hezbollah that was allegedly involved in money laundering operations across the country.

Officials have urged the public to play an active role in safeguarding national security, emphasising that community cooperation remains an important part of preventing security threats.

The campaign accompanying the launch carries the message: “State Security is everyone’s responsibility.”
