A teacher and her three children have died in a road accident while returning from Oman’s Dhofar Governorate, leaving the local community and education sector in mourning.
The victims included the teacher, her two daughters and her son. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Douhat Al Ilm School in Jalan Bani Bu Ali paid tribute to the teacher, describing her as a dedicated educator who spent more than 20 years serving students.
In a statement, the school said it had lost one of its most respected teachers, praising her commitment to education, professionalism and lasting impact on generations of students.
Colleagues remembered her as a compassionate and inspiring teacher whose dedication earned the admiration of students, parents and fellow educators.
The tragedy sparked an outpouring of condolences across Oman, with many expressing their sympathy on social media and offering prayers for the victims and their family.
The accident comes during the busy Khareef tourism season, when large numbers of travellers make the journey to and from Dhofar. Authorities continue to urge motorists to drive carefully, avoid fatigue and follow traffic regulations to reduce the risk of road accidents.
