Salalah Real Estate Exhibition Highlights Major Projects

Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has opened the second edition of the Real Estate Exhibition 2026 in Salalah, bringing together major housing developments, investment opportunities and financing services under one roof.

The exhibition, held at Al Hafa Waterfront in Dhofar Governorate, will run until August 5 and aims to encourage property ownership while promoting the Sultanate’s urban development strategy.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dhofar Governor Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said said the event reflects national efforts to showcase investment opportunities and development projects that support economic growth and enhance quality of life.

He added that hosting the exhibition during the Dhofar Khareef season offers an opportunity to introduce integrated urban communities under the “Living in Oman” concept, highlighting the country’s appeal for residents, investors and visitors.

Held under the theme “Living in Oman Is Something Else,” the exhibition features a range of residential and commercial developments, allowing attendees to explore property ownership options, investment opportunities and available financing while meeting directly with developers and industry experts.

Key projects on display include Sultan Haitham City, Future Salalah City, the High Mountain Project, Surooh integrated residential neighbourhoods and Najd Agricultural City. Banks and financial institutions are also participating, offering housing finance solutions for potential buyers.

During the event, Oman Housing Bank launched its new “Long Waiting List” digital platform, which allows applicants for subsidised housing finance to register online, track their applications and receive updates through a unified electronic system.

The ministry said the exhibition builds on the success of its inaugural edition, which welcomed more than 30,000 visitors and recorded over 1,500 real estate transactions worth more than OMR75 million, reflecting strong demand for property ownership and investment in Oman.
