Omani Military Bands Win Top Honors in Scotland

Omani military bands achieved major success at the World Music Competition in Scotland, securing several top awards against more than 130 participating bands from around the world.

The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Band finished first overall in the Category 4B competition and also claimed the top spot in the drum corps category. The band’s performance was praised for its precision, discipline and high musical standards.

The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Band also delivered a strong showing, winning first place for best marching and discipline while finishing fourth in the World Level 3 (B) category at the championships in Dumbarton.

The results highlight the professionalism and advanced capabilities of Oman’s military musicians, whose performances reflected extensive training and technical excellence.

The latest achievements add to the international recognition earned by Oman’s military bands and reinforce the Sultan’s Armed Forces’ commitment to developing talent, maintaining high standards of discipline and representing the country with distinction on the global stage.
