This partnership aims to boost collaboration in multiple sectors and create new opportunities for businesses. Economic cooperation” reflects the shared goal and is central to both countries’ plans.

On Sunday, the Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion met with Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade. They discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations, focusing on trade, investment, and industrial collaboration. Both sides agreed to explore joint initiatives to expand trade exchange and develop strategic economic projects.

The discussion included proposals to activate maritime and air shipping lines, ensuring smoother logistics for Omani and Lebanese companies. Officials also highlighted the potential benefits of utilizing the Greater Arab Free Trade Area agreement. They aim to increase the volume of trade and create more re-export opportunities.

Additionally, the ministers explored forming a joint Omani-Lebanese Business Council. This council would strengthen communication between business communities in both countries and support long-term partnerships. Industrial and logistical cooperation also featured prominently, with Lebanese companies invited to benefit from Oman’s economic and industrial zones. These zones could serve as hubs for storing and re-exporting Lebanese food products.

The upcoming Omani-Lebanese Forum and trade exhibition were also emphasized. Organizers plan to showcase investment opportunities, facilitate networking, and sign agreements to further economic cooperation.

The Omani minister stated that Oman prioritizes building strong economic partnerships globally, including with Lebanon.
