MEDLOG Launches 100,000 Square Meters Logistics Hub in Dammam to Support Vision 2030 Goals

Saudi logistics expansion project advanced further as MEDLOG inaugurated a large integrated logistics park at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. The project strengthens Saudi Arabia’s supply chain infrastructure under Vision 2030 goals.

In Saudi Arabia, officials opened the MEDLOG 1 facility on 16 February 2026. The company confirmed that the site now operates as a key logistics hub. It supports both domestic trade and international cargo flows.

Moreover, the facility covers more than 100,000 square metres. It can handle over 300,000 TEUs annually. This capacity allows it to manage containerized, bulk, and general cargo efficiently. Therefore, Saudi logistics expansion project continues to support growing trade demand.

In addition, the site provides several operational services. These include container storage, handling, maintenance, and repair. It also supports port shuttling and inventory management. Furthermore, it processes specialized cargo such as reefer containers and ISO tanks.

Meanwhile, the logistics park strengthens multimodal transport connections. It links road, rail, and port systems across the Kingdom. As a result, cargo movement becomes faster and more efficient across eastern, central, and western regions.

The facility sits near major industrial zones like Jubail Industrial City. This location improves access to key manufacturing and export centers. It also enhances distribution to regional and global markets.

At the same time, the project supports broader economic development goals. Officials said it will create more than 400 direct and indirect jobs. Therefore, Saudi logistics expansion project contributes to employment growth and local investment.

MEDLOG leadership highlighted the long-term commitment to the Kingdom. Giuseppe Prudente, Chairman of MEDLOG, said Saudi Arabia serves as a key global trade corridor. He emphasized its role in connecting three continents.

Moreover, the launch aligns with MSC’s long presence in the country. The company has operated in Saudi Arabia for 30 years. It first established its agency in 1996 and continues to expand its operations.

The Saudi logistics expansion project reflects ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure. Authorities aim to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in global logistics. They also focus on improving efficiency and trade competitiveness.
