Kuwait has strongly condemned what it described as repeated Iranian attacks targeting its territory, saying the incidents represent a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to the safety of citizens and residents.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the government said the latest incident occurred on Wednesday and called the attacks a breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The ministry said the continued attacks come at a time when regional and international efforts are focused on reducing tensions, describing the actions as a setback to diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.
Kuwait reaffirmed that protecting its security, sovereignty, and the safety of everyone living on its territory remains a top priority. The country also stressed its right to take necessary measures to defend its national interests and maintain stability.
