US Drone Attacks in Iraq have intensified as an Iran-aligned group claims responsibility for multiple American deaths. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, backed by Tehran, stated it killed more than a dozen Americans in recent strikes. The group reported 31 separate drone and missile operations over the past 24 hours, targeting U.S. bases across the region.
Officials said US Drone Attacks have been ongoing since the start of the regional conflict nearly two weeks ago. According to the group, 291 operations were conducted in total, resulting in 13 U.S. fatalities and dozens of injuries, some of them severe. These claims follow escalating tensions involving the United States, Iran, and Israel.
Nonetheless, the US maintains heightened security measures across bases in Iraq and surrounding countries. The risk of further strikes continues to grow as operations persist.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, urging the Iraqi government to safeguard American personnel and facilities. He condemned the attacks, describing them as deliberate terrorist actions by Iran-aligned armed factions operating in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The Kurdistan Region has experienced over 200 drone and missile attacks in the first 10 days of the conflict. Local monitoring organizations reported four civilian deaths and 19 injuries during that period, illustrating the risk posed to regional populations. The US continues to evaluate intelligence to protect both military personnel and civilians.
US Drone Attacks have already claimed seven American service members since February 28. Most fatalities occurred in the conflict’s early stages, including a drone strike on a U.S. facility in Kuwait. The situation underscores the increasing lethality of drone warfare in the region.
Officials warn that ongoing US Drone Attacks and retaliatory strikes could further destabilize Iraq. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq appears committed to sustained operations, escalating tensions for U.S. forces and regional security partners.
As the conflict escalates, US Drone Attacks highlight the vulnerability of personnel in Iraq. Authorities continue to coordinate with Iraqi leadership to ensure defensive measures are reinforced. The international community watches closely as the situation in Iraq remains tense and fluid.
