Infrastructure Development in Juffair Boosts Urban Growth

Infrastructure development in Juffair is bringing major improvements to Bahrain’s capital. The Ministry of Works recently confirmed the completion of a key project in Block 324. This project is part of the Internal Areas Development Program, aimed at supporting urban expansion across Manama.

To begin with, the project included building a new sewage network and a pumping station. Additionally, it connected all nearby facilities to this upgraded system. As part of the work, Avenue 22 and nearby roads, totaling 3 kilometers, were also reconstructed. Moreover, the project involved new road surfaces and an irrigation system.

Infrastructure development in Juffair also enhanced the area’s overall connectivity. Engineers earlier constructed a major pipeline to link Juffair with Ghuraifa. This new pipeline is deeper and wider, designed to manage current and future sewage flows efficiently.

Importantly, properties in Block 324 are now connected to this advanced sewage system. This connection reduces flooding risks and ensures smoother service delivery. Because of these upgrades, residents and businesses in the area can now benefit from improved infrastructure and better living conditions.

Furthermore, infrastructure development in Juffair supports Bahrain’s economic ambitions. The Ministry highlighted that this project is crucial for Manama, especially given the area’s growing tourism and real estate activity. Juffair attracts high foot traffic, making these upgrades essential for investors and developers.

In addition to road and sewage upgrades, the project also provided new parking areas. This improvement will ease traffic congestion and simplify daily commutes for locals. As a result, movement in and out of the area is now faster as well as safer.

The Downtown Group carried out the project after winning the contract through the Tender Board. The Ministry praised the completion as a step toward modernizing city infrastructure.

Clearly, this successful initiative reflects Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable urban planning and development.
