Bahrain to Host Virtual AI in Sports Conference in April

The Bahrain International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Sports will take place virtually on April 24, 2025. This event, organized by the General Sports Authority, aims to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and sports. The conference will be held in collaboration with His Highness Sheikh Nasser Center for Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence and the Global Artificial Intelligence Group.

This year marks the third edition of the conference, which has garnered attention from both regional and international experts. The event will feature presentations from distinguished speakers from top universities and sports organizations across Spain, Italy, Belgium, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

Dr. Jassim Haji, Chairman of the Conference’s Organizing Committee, highlighted the importance of AI in the sports industry. He praised the continued support of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Dr. Haji noted that Sheikh Khalid’s vision for integrating AI into sports has been instrumental since the first conference in 2021. This was the first AI in sports conference in the Middle East, setting a significant milestone for the region.

The upcoming conference will cover various aspects of AI in sports, including how it supports athletes, coaches, and administrators. The event will also address how AI can enhance fan engagement and interaction during sporting events. These discussions are crucial for staying ahead in the fast-evolving sports industry.

Participants can expect insightful discussions on the latest AI solutions and their impact on sports performance and management. By attending, they will gain a deeper understanding of how AI is shaping the future of sports.
