Bahrain Officials Discuss Programs to Strengthen National Belonging and Citizenship Values

Bahrain authorities discussed expanding community initiatives aimed at strengthening national belonging, citizenship values and social cohesion during a meeting between officials from the Interior Ministry and the Northern Governorate.

Ali Al Asfoor, advisor for community affairs, met Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, governor of the Northern Governorate, to review areas of cooperation and coordination on joint community programs and initiatives, according to officials.

The discussions were held in line with directives issued by Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa aimed at enhancing community partnership and reinforcing citizenship values.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed existing programs and explored mechanisms to further develop them in cooperation with the Northern Governorate to support community partnership, security and stability.

Al Asfoor stressed the importance of unifying institutional efforts and integrating community initiatives to improve quality of life and strengthen values of loyalty and national belonging.

Officials also discussed preparations for upcoming summer programs under the slogan “Our homeland and our king unite us,” targeting students under the age of 18, alongside initiatives designed to support people with disabilities.

Al Madani praised the role of the advisor’s office for community affairs and highlighted its initiatives and experience in serving the community.
