New Interim Board Appointed for Bahrain Cycling Federation

Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, issued Decision No. (19) of 2025. This decision appoints an interim board of directors for the Bahrain Cycling Federation.

The decision comes after a review of the Law of Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, and regulations governing private bodies in youth and sports. It also considers Decree-Law No. (21) of 1989 and other relevant amendments. Furthermore, it refers to Decree No. (61) of 2021, which established the General Sports Authority. Additionally, Resolution No. (6) of 1990 outlines regulations for the publication of registration numbers for sports federations.

The interim board will serve for one year. Khalid Hamad Ahmed Al Khalifa will lead the board, ensuring the Bahrain Cycling Federation’s ongoing development. Alongside him, several distinguished members will join the board. These include Ali Abdul Aziz Mohammed Ali Janahi, Shaber Hilal Maki Al Wadaei, Ahmed Mohammed Rashid Saud Al Buainain, Hussein Ali Hassan Ali, Maryam Haidar Abdul Ali Abdul Nabi Mardana, and Amir Abdul Rasoul Mohammed Nasrallah.

The appointment of the interim board follows the failure to reach a quorum during the General Assembly meeting. This decision ensures the Federation’s operations continue smoothly while preparing for the next General Assembly meeting. The interim board will oversee the Federation’s activities during this time.

The Bahrain Cycling Federation plays a key role in promoting cycling in Bahrain. This new leadership will guide the Federation’s growth and ensure its continued success. The interim board’s formation is crucial for maintaining order and progress within the Federation.

The Bahrain Cycling Federation will now benefit from a renewed leadership that is focused on strategic development and future achievements.
