Singapore vs Bahrain: 4th T20I Abandoned Due to Rain

The fourth T20I match between Singapore and Bahrain was called off due to rain at the Singapore National Cricket Ground on Tuesday, March 4. The match was shaping up to be an exciting contest, but weather conditions forced an early end.

Singapore batted first, posting a total of 144 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. Aritra Dutta played a key role in their innings, top-scoring with 45 runs. However, Bahrain’s bowlers kept the pressure on, and Singapore struggled to build partnerships.

Bahrain’s chase started poorly. They lost two wickets for just 12 runs in the first four overs, putting them under significant pressure. Pranav Sudarshan and Aahan Gopinath Achar bowled exceptional spells, keeping Bahrain in check. However, just when the match seemed ready for a thrilling finish, rain halted the play. Even one more over would have given the game a result, but the weather had other plans.

Singapore won the toss and decided to bat first. Captain Manpreet Singh led the team with determination, but despite some solid performances, the rain disrupted their plans. Bahrain, on the other hand, had a difficult start to their chase and could not recover before the rain arrived.

This match was the fourth of a five-match series. Bahrain had already secured an unassailable 3-0 lead after winning the first three games convincingly. Despite the rain, Singapore will look to finish the series on a positive note with a win in the fifth match, scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, at the same venue.

The series has seen some exciting moments, and fans are eager to see how the final match unfolds. Bahrain’s strong performance in the earlier matches has put them in a dominant position. However, Singapore will aim to finish the series on a high, despite the challenges they’ve faced.
