Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud to discuss bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
The two officials reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia while exchanging views on ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing security across the region.
During the conversation, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to diplomatic dialogue and implementing the commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
He also highlighted the need to safeguard freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as essential for protecting regional security, preserving recent diplomatic progress and supporting long-term stability.
Qatar reaffirmed its support for international and regional efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that promotes lasting peace and stability across the region.
