Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Package Visa pilot programme aimed at making travel to the Kingdom easier by allowing eligible visitors to obtain a tourist visa as part of a complete travel package.
The initiative is being rolled out through approved travel and tourism service providers in selected pilot markets. It is a joint effort involving the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and the Insurance Authority.
Under the programme, travellers can book round-trip flights, accommodation at licensed hotels and their electronic tourist visa through a single booking. Travel providers may also include events, activities and tourism experiences as part of the package.
Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to making travel more accessible while improving the visitor experience through a simpler and more integrated booking process.
The Package Visa expands on previous travel reforms, including the tourist e-Visa, visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa, which have helped boost international tourism in recent years.
Authorities said only travel companies that meet strict service and technology standards, including digital booking platforms and round-the-clock customer support, will be authorised to participate in the pilot.
The launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues to report strong growth in tourism. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the Kingdom welcomed around 123 million domestic and international visitors in 2025, while international arrivals reached 29.3 million, generating record tourism spending and supporting continued growth in the sector.
