Bahrain Investcorp Launches AI Investment Strategy

Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Investcorp has launched a new artificial intelligence-driven investment framework designed to support decision-making across its global operations.

The strategy will be applied across the company’s private equity, real estate, infrastructure and credit portfolios, as part of what the firm describes as a broader shift in global financial markets.

According to the company, artificial intelligence will be used to enhance opportunity identification, streamline due diligence processes, improve portfolio management and support value creation across investments.

Senior executives said the approach is intended to integrate AI as a tool within the investment cycle rather than as a standalone strategy, with a focus on improving efficiency and risk assessment.

The firm, which manages tens of billions of dollars in assets globally, said the framework reflects its effort to formalise the use of advanced data analytics across its investment activities.

Investcorp added that the rollout comes amid a wider trend among global asset managers adopting AI technologies to improve investment governance and operational performance.

The announcement places the company among a growing number of international financial institutions embedding AI into core investment processes as competition in global private markets intensifies.
