A separate agreement on LPG supply is expected to secure long-term fuel arrangements for India, where liquefied petroleum gas remains a widely used household energy source.
In addition to energy cooperation, both countries signed a framework agreement on defence partnership. The deal outlines plans for industrial collaboration, technology sharing and potential joint development of military equipment.
