The General Administration of Customs in Kuwait has participated in the 63rd Regional Meeting of Directors General of Customs for the North Africa, Near East and Middle East region, held virtually under the framework of the World Customs Organization (WCO).
The Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Director General of Kuwait Yousef Al-Nuwaif, according to a statement issued by the administration. The meeting brought together customs chiefs and representatives from member states across the region.
Discussions focused on key agenda items aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation between customs authorities. Participants also reviewed recent developments in customs operations and exchanged expertise and best practices designed to enhance institutional performance.
Officials highlighted the importance of improving the efficiency of customs procedures and aligning systems with international standards to support regional trade and economic integration.
The administration said the meeting reflects ongoing efforts by member states to deepen cooperation and develop unified approaches that contribute to facilitating trade flows and supporting shared economic interests across the region.
