Farah Naaz, an 18-year-old author based in Bahrain, has launched an independent publishing platform aimed at supporting emerging writers. Naaz began writing at a young age, developing a strong interest in poetry and expressive storytelling. Over time, she transitioned from writing into exploring the publishing industry. However, she says her early experiences exposed her to challenges, including limited transparency, high production costs, and restricted creative control. Those experiences, she explains, ultimately shaped the foundation of LMBH.
The name “Literaire Milestone Book House” carries a dual meaning. While “BH” stands for “Book House,” it also represents Bahrain, where Naaz intends to build opportunities for writers. The platform focuses on providing accessible publishing options for authors, particularly students and first-time writers. Through LMBH, Naaz aims to offer structured publishing packages that include editing, distribution, and marketing support.
Currently, Naaz has authored three published books across fiction and non-fiction genres. Her debut, Just a Flight Away, explores a long-distance love story connecting Bahrain and India, centering on cross-cultural themes shaped by geography and distance.
She later released Dumbass to Kickass, a non-fiction title that blends humor with life lessons and reflections on personal growth. Her third book, Not My Circus Always My Monkeys, continues in a similar humorous and relatable tone. According to reader feedback on public book platforms, her non-fiction titles have received positive ratings from a niche audience.
Naaz is also preparing to publish Just Where We Left Off, a sequel to Just a Flight Away, which will continue the journey of its original characters and expand on their story.
Looking ahead, LMBH plans to focus on three key areas: expanding affordable publishing services, strengthening its presence in Bahrain and the Gulf region, and launching structured marketing campaigns to increase book visibility.
Naaz says her long-term objective is to create a literary ecosystem where authors feel supported rather than restricted. By positioning Bahrain as part of that vision, she hopes to encourage young writers in the region to pursue publishing without hesitation. As independent publishing continues to grow globally, initiatives like LMBH reflect a broader shift toward author-driven platforms and creative entrepreneurship.
