Oman now glows with colour as the National Day spirit rises across the country. The city of Muscat prepares for major celebrations, and residents feel the National Day spirit in every corner. The nation moves toward Thursday’s event with excitement, and the National Day spirit grows stronger each day.
As evening arrives, Muscat transforms into a bright, vivid scene. Streets shine under layered lights, and buildings glow in red, white, and green. Additionally, palm-lined roads sparkle with long trails of light that stretch across the city. Many residents drive through these roads to enjoy the view, and many describe the atmosphere as magical.
Meanwhile, flags wave along the major highways. They move gently in the November breeze and add more colour to the busy roads. Cars decorated with ribbons, decals, and national symbols create a moving display that reflects widespread pride. Many families take photos along these decorated streets, and the joyful mood continues to grow.
Furthermore, Qurum Beach stands at the heart of the celebrations. Crews have prepared a remarkable maritime show for November 21. Between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., vessels from the Royal Navy of Oman will move across the water in a coordinated display. Units from the Royal Oman Police, the Royal Yachts, and several GCC navies will join the performance. Their presence will highlight both unity and maritime tradition.
However, authorities have adjusted traffic plans to support the event. They closed the road between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Roundabout and the Qurum Beach Roundabout. The closure began on November 18 and continues until November 22 at 3 p.m. Officials encouraged drivers to use other routes to maintain smooth movement during the celebrations.
Across Muscat, the enthusiasm remains clear. Souqs fill with colourful items such as scarves, lanterns, and National Day accessories. Vendors greet shoppers with cheerful energy. Children run through the stalls with their faces painted in national colours. Even car garages became creative centres, as workers apply artistic designs to vehicles. They turn regular cars into rolling tributes to the nation’s pride.
While Oman prepares for National Day, every street shines with emotion. The skies, the markets, the beach, and the neighbourhoods celebrate together. The celebration will deliver unforgettable scenes and remind everyone of the country’s unity, heritage, and boundless joy.
