Qatar is growing its luxury yachting sector by signing a key deal with Marina Port Vell Barcelona. The goal is to make Marsa Maritime a top hub for high-end yachts. As a result, Qatar wants to attract big yachts, top service providers, and global maritime experts.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), and Ignacio Erroz, CEO of Marina Port Vell Barcelona, signed the agreement during the Monaco Yacht Show. Therefore, Qatar plans to build a world-class yachting area.

Under this deal, Marina Port Vell Barcelona will give advice and support to Qatar. They have years of experience running superyacht ports and luxury maritime services. Consequently, Qatar will use this knowledge to improve Marsa Maritime’s services and facilities.

Furthermore, Qatar plans to make Marsa Maritime a hub for custom yacht work. The project will link yacht owners, maritime workers, and service providers. At the same time, it will highlight Qatar’s strong facilities. In addition, this plan should attract investors and encourage new ideas in the maritime sector.

Sheikh Mohammed said Qatar is changing the Gulf’s luxury yachting scene. He also added that top facilities, modern technologies, and smart partnerships will help growth. Therefore, Qatar wants Marsa Maritime to be a main destination for superyachts, investors, and luxury services.

Meanwhile, Ignacio Erroz said Marina Port Vell Barcelona is a top yachting center in the Mediterranean. He expressed pride in working with Qatar on Marsa Maritime. Moreover, he noted Qatar has strong potential for luxury yachting in the region.

Through this deal, Qatar gains knowledge in port planning, running operations, and improving customer experience. Additionally, the partnership encourages new ideas and sets high standards for luxury yachting. Qatar will also hold training, workshops, and events to grow local skills.

Overall, Qatar wants Marsa Maritime to become a top yachting destination in the Gulf. By combining local money with global knowledge, Qatar strengthens its position in the luxury yacht market. As a result, Marsa Maritime will attract both regional and global attention.
