The Kuwait Cabinet meeting was held Tuesday morning at Bayan Palace. It was led by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Following the session, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shareeda Abdullah Al-Maousherji addressed the press. He detailed the discussions.
Therefore, the meeting opened with an overview of messages sent to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. These came from leaders of friendly and brotherly nations. The messages focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various sectors.
Moreover, the Cabinet then reviewed a detailed presentation from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. Senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) joined him. They outlined efforts in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan. Authorities have been cracking down on unlicensed shops, exploited properties, and buildings in violation of regulations.
Sheikh Fahad confirmed that field campaigns had already led to multiple closures. He stressed the importance of continued government coordination to prevent future violations. He also noted obstacles facing inspection teams, including overcrowded areas and attempts by violators to evade the law. Despite these challenges, he affirmed that operations would continue.
The Kuwait Cabinet meeting also addressed housing concerns. The Ministerial Committee for Public Services presented a report from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare. The report detailed progress on major housing projects, with the Cabinet calling for accelerated completion and swift removal of obstacles.
Additionally, the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee provided updates on landscaping projects across Kuwait. Government and private institutions have been contributing to road beautification and city improvements. The Cabinet approved these donations and expressed gratitude to all supporters for enhancing Kuwait’s public spaces.
Finally, the Cabinet approved the minutes of the Higher Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality. The review included cases of nationality loss or withdrawal. This was in accordance with Decree Law No. 15 of 1959 and its amendments.
By addressing bilateral relations, housing projects, urban development, and regulatory enforcement, the Kuwait Cabinet meeting highlighted the government’s focus. It showed their commitment to progress and accountability across national priorities.
