Bahrain UAE Environmental Cooperation Expands with Focus on Sustainability and Agriculture

Bahrain UAE environmental cooperation continues to grow as officials from both countries meet to discuss joint projects. Engineer Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs at Bahrain’s Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, welcomed a delegation from the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The delegation was led by Marwan Abdullah Al Zaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Regions Sector.

During the meeting, the Bahraini Undersecretary praised the deep historical ties between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized the steady growth in bilateral relations over recent years. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in municipal and agricultural fields.

A key focus of their discussion was the Ghaf tree planting project in Bahrain. The Bahraini official expressed appreciation for the UAE’s initiative to support afforestation efforts in Bahrain. This collaboration aims to boost environmental sustainability across the region.
