UAE Rapidly Contains Kuwaiti Oil Tanker Drone Attack in Dubai Waters, Ensures Crew Safety

A Kuwaiti oil tanker drone attack in Dubai waters triggered immediate emergency responses, but authorities quickly contained the situation. The UAE’s specialized teams successfully extinguished the fire, ensuring the safety of all 24 crew members. Moreover, no oil spillage occurred, minimizing environmental impact. This incident highlights the UAE’s preparedness in protecting critical maritime infrastructure.

The Dubai Government Media Office reported on X that competent authorities acted swiftly to manage the fire and secure the tanker. Emergency teams remain on site to assess conditions and implement necessary safety measures. The UAE continues to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Earlier reports indicated that a drone struck the Kuwaiti oil tanker while it anchored in Dubai waters. The fire erupted immediately, prompting rapid intervention by firefighting units. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were recorded during the incident, demonstrating effective emergency protocols and coordination.

In addition, Dubai authorities addressed a separate fire caused by a fragment falling on a house in Al-Bida’a. The fragment resulted from a UAE air defense interception operation. Four minor injuries were reported, and the teams acted promptly to contain the situation. This response further reflects the country’s capability to handle multiple security challenges simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the Sharjah Government Media Office announced a drone attack on an administrative building of Thuraya Telecommunications Company. The drone reportedly originated from Iran, and competent authorities responded immediately to mitigate damage and ensure public safety.

Early Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed ongoing operations to intercept missile and drone threats from Iran. Air defense systems engaged ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, producing audible detonations across the country. These coordinated efforts underscore the UAE’s vigilance in maintaining national security and protecting key infrastructure.

The Kuwaiti oil tanker drone attack demonstrates the region’s vulnerabilities, yet it also showcases the UAE’s readiness and rapid response capabilities. By deploying specialized teams and advanced defense systems, the UAE continues to safeguard energy assets and maritime safety. Continuous monitoring and proactive measures remain vital for preventing future incidents in the Gulf.
