UAE Expands 14-Day Entry Permit For More Tourists

The United Arab Emirates has expanded its pre-approved 14-day entry permit programme to include travellers from six additional countries, as part of efforts to strengthen its position as a global tourism and business destination.

Under the updated policy, passengers travelling with Emirates from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa and Kenya can apply for the short-term entry permit, provided they meet the required eligibility criteria.

The programme is designed for travellers with return or onward flight bookings and allows stays ranging from 48 hours to 14 days. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the planned arrival date.

Visa processing will be handled by VFS Global through the Dubai Visa Processing Centre’s digital platform, allowing eligible travellers to complete the application process online.

To qualify, applicants must hold a residence permit valid for at least six months from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, South Korea or a member state of the European Union. Those using US documentation must hold a valid Green Card, while student visas are not accepted under the programme.

According to VFS Global, the initiative is intended to simplify travel procedures and improve access for eligible visitors travelling to the UAE for tourism, business or transit. The company said its online platform also supports visa applications for travellers from around 180 nationalities seeking short-term visits to Dubai.
