Riyadh: The Saudi Cup 2025 brought together designers and models from across the Kingdom, transforming the prestigious event into a celebration of creativity, innovation, and cultural heritage. Designers paid tribute to Saudi Arabia’s landscapes, architecture, and traditions through bold and boundary-pushing fashion statements.
Fashion Commission CEO Burak Cakmak praised the evolving creativity at the event, highlighting how designers continue to surprise audiences each year. “The Saudi Cup is very much about Saudi culture, and designers reflect their heritage through their work,” he stated.
This year’s designs drew inspiration from iconic Saudi landmarks, including a thobe-inspired suit adorned with mirrors to represent AlUla’s Maraya, a silk wrap-around paying homage to Hegra, and even a 3D headband replicating the Kingdom’s first UNESCO World Heritage site.
A key theme emerging at this year’s showcase was sustainability. Designers incorporated natural elements such as dates, palm leaves, and organic materials into their creations, blending craftsmanship with eco-conscious fashion. “There’s a strong focus on regional references, whether it’s Najdi, Hijazi, or Asiri influences, but also a deep commitment to sustainability,” Cakmak noted.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Saudi 100 Brands initiative partnered with the Saudi Cup, featuring a gallery of top designers across bridal, couture, ready-to-wear, jewelry, and accessories. The event reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s growing presence in the global fashion industry, merging tradition with modernity in spectacular style.
