Saudi Arabia to Host Fifth Capital Markets Forum in Riyadh

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is set to host the fifth edition of the Capital Markets Forum from February 18 to 20 in Riyadh, bringing together leading financial experts to highlight the Kingdom’s position as a key economic hub.

Organized by the Saudi Tadawul Group under the patronage of Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, the forum will convene top policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts to discuss trends shaping the nation’s capital markets.

With the theme “Powering Connections,” the event aims to unlock investment opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and further solidify the Kingdom’s role in global financial markets.

A Platform for Growth

Saudi-based economist Talat Hafiz emphasized the forum’s significance, stating that it provides a vital platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions and explore emerging opportunities.

“Saudi Arabia’s capital market continues to attract global demand, driven by its market depth, regulatory advancements, and strong investor participation,” Hafiz said.

Key Agenda for 2025 Forum

The three-day event will feature discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities:

  • Day 1: Held at the KAFD Conference Center, the opening day will include sessions on macroeconomic trends, the Middle East’s growing capital market role, and the future of financial markets. The day will conclude with the 2024 Saudi Capital Market Awards.
  • Days 2 & 3: Hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel, these sessions will focus on capital management, market insights, and investment strategies, with industry leaders sharing expertise on economic shifts, financial technologies, and transparency.

Distinguished Speakers

The event will welcome high-ranking officials and global financial leaders, including:

  • Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Investment
  • Sarah Al-Suhaimi, Chairperson of Saudi Tadawul Group
  • Bonnie Y Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited
  • Nandini Sukumar, CEO of the World Federation of Exchanges

Highlights from 2024 Forum

Last year’s forum attracted 4,200 participants and 640 investors from 41 firms, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s role as a financial hub. Discussions centered on sustainability initiatives, regulatory advancements, and fostering global market connectivity.

A major announcement from the 2024 edition was the launch of CONNECT Hong Kong, the first international edition of the forum, designed to strengthen Saudi-Asian capital market ties.
