Royal Army Recruits Graduate in Oman Ceremony

The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) celebrated a new group of graduates on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The ceremony marked their successful completion of military training and highlighted their discipline and preparation for service.

The event took place at the Royal Army of Oman Academy’s Training Battalion parade ground. Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi attended as the chief guest. He serves as Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman.

The ceremony began with a formal military salute to the visiting commander. He then inspected the front line of the graduating recruits. Following the inspection, the soldiers began their parade. The Royal Army of Oman Music Band accompanied them during their slow march.

Next, the graduates advanced in a review formation across the parade ground. Their coordinated movements demonstrated the training they had received. The parade also highlighted the discipline expected of personnel completing their military preparation.

During the ceremony, Al Rahbi presented certificates to the highest-performing graduates. The awards recognised their achievements throughout the training course. They also acknowledged the effort and commitment demonstrated during their military preparation.

For the recruits, the graduation marked an important stage in their military careers. They had completed their training and prepared to move into the next phase of service. The occasion also recognised their commitment to military responsibilities.

The programme continued with the graduates reciting the Royal Army of Oman anthem. They then took an oath of loyalty and proclaimed a call of support. The recruits also chanted three times in honour of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman’s Supreme Commander.

Afterward, the Royal Army of Oman Music Band performed the ceremonial salute of honour. The parade commander approached the chief guest to request permission to dismiss the formation. Following approval, the graduates marched past the main reviewing stand in quick time.

Meanwhile, the music band performed several military and musical compositions. These performances accompanied the parade’s final movements. They also brought the formal proceedings to a close.

The ceremony attracted senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces. Other attendees included officers, non-commissioned officers and Royal Army of Oman personnel. Families of the graduates also attended the event to witness this important milestone.

The graduation recognised the recruits’ progress and completion of their military training. It also brought together military personnel and families to mark the occasion. Through the ceremony, the Royal Army of Oman celebrated the graduates’ achievements and their transition towards the next stage of service.
