QU Launches New Grants to Boost Humanities and Social Sciences

Qatar University (QU) has unveiled a new research grant program designed to strengthen humanities and social sciences. The initiative will support studies focused on local challenges, helping researchers find real solutions to pressing issues.

Supporting Key Areas of National Interest

The QU Humanities and Social Sciences Research Grant Program will back research teams working on crucial topics. It will focus on identity, family, financial literacy, women, heritage, education, and sustainability. Researchers will explore economic and environmental challenges while addressing social concerns.

The university also encourages collaboration across disciplines. Experts in science, engineering, and health can contribute to studies, creating a multidisciplinary approach to solving societal problems. This cross-field teamwork will help researchers develop well-rounded solutions that benefit communities in Qatar and beyond.

Funding and Application Process

QU has allocated internal funding for this program, ensuring researchers have the resources needed to conduct in-depth studies. The application process will open electronically in January and February 2025. Researchers must submit their proposals before the March 2025 deadline.

The selection process will be competitive, focusing on innovative ideas that address national priorities. The university will review submissions and announce grant recipients in April 2025. Successful applicants will receive funding to pursue their research, bringing their ideas to life.

Driving Progress Through Research

QU remains committed to strengthening humanities and social sciences. By investing in research, the university aims to drive positive change in society. This program will create opportunities for scholars to contribute to national development while advancing knowledge in their fields.

The university’s dedication to strengthening humanities and social sciences will help shape future policies and programs. With support from QU, researchers can tackle challenges, explore solutions, and make a lasting impact.

The launch of this grant program marks a significant step in strengthening humanities and social sciences. As QU continues to invest in research, it reinforces its role as a leader in academic and societal progress.
