QF University Students Thrive Through Cross-Registration Opportunities

Students at Qatar Foundation (QF) universities are benefiting from cross-registration programs. These programs allow them to take courses across different institutions within Education City. This initiative enhances their academic experiences while providing diverse learning opportunities.

For instance, Ahmad Kamal Al Moslemani, a junior at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), is pursuing a Computer Engineering degree. His degree incorporates courses from Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ). Similarly, Sai Surag Lingampalli, another HBKU student, has expanded his knowledge by taking a Marketing course at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q).

Beyond academics, students also engage in competitions, internships, and cultural activities. Emilia Pacheco De Larrea, a senior at Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q), is pursuing a Certificate in Media and Politics at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q). Meanwhile, Shahed Al Awad, a Graphic Design major at VCUarts Qatar, is minoring in Film and Design at NU-Q. This has enriched her creative projects.

Language learning opportunities are also available. For instance, Khatimat Abilova, a journalism student at NU-Q, takes Arabic classes at CMU-Q to enhance her future career in the Middle East.

With cross-registration, QF universities provide a holistic, multidisciplinary educational experience, preparing students for diverse career paths and global opportunities.
