Qatar Gears Up for Web Summit 2026 to Boost Innovation and Startups

The Permanent Web Summit Qatar Organizing Committee is ramping up preparations for the third edition of Web Summit Qatar. Scheduled for early February 2026, Web Summit Qatar 2026 will bring together international investors, startups, and technology leaders. The event aims to strengthen Qatar’s global position in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the digital economy.

During a recent committee meeting, officials reviewed all updates for the summit. They discussed confirmed speakers, new international partnerships, and the participation of global trade delegations. Additionally, the team reflected on Qatar’s recent presence at Web Summit Lisbon 2025, which concluded last week. There, the Qatari delegation showcased investment opportunities and national initiatives supporting startups and innovation.

The committee highlighted strong interest in the Startup Qatar pavilion. This momentum demonstrates confidence in the event and motivates officials to deliver an exceptional edition in 2026.

IBM will serve as the official artificial intelligence partner for Web Summit Qatar 2026. Together, they will launch the IBM Sports Tech Challenge, a global competition for startups developing enterprise sports technology and AI solutions. However, the first stage will occur at WSQ 2026, followed by regional rounds at other Web Summit events. The finals will take place at Web Summit Lisbon 2026. Startups will receive mentorship, international exposure, and a chance to win a paid proof of concept valued up to USD 100,000. They may also receive venture funding for future growth.

The committee confirmed several high-profile speakers and additional trade delegations, including representatives from Turkiye and Switzerland. Media professionals will moderate summit sessions, ensuring dynamic and informative discussions.

Officials continue attracting participants, investors, and partners to maximize the event’s global impact. These efforts will also make Web Summit Qatar 2026 a premier platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and shaping the digital economy in the region.

With preparations advancing, Qatar aims to create a unique environment where innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship thrive.
