The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has announced the completion of all preparations for Hajj 2025, confirming full operational readiness. This year, a total of 4,400 Qatar pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the sacred pilgrimage under the country’s officially approved quota. The arrangements for Hajj 2025 Qatar pilgrims ensure a smooth and fulfilling pilgrimage experience.
According to Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, Director of the Hajj and Umrah Department at Awqaf, preparations began early in line with Qatar’s leadership vision. The ministry worked to ensure every pilgrim experiences a smooth, safe, and dignified journey. As a result, all logistical and administrative plans are now in place.
Awqaf launched the online registration portal on September 22, 2024. More than 13,000 individuals applied. After a detailed screening process, 4,400 eligible applicants were selected based on strict criteria. Selected pilgrims received SMS notifications and were guided to complete their registration with one of the 17 accredited Hajj campaigns.
These Hajj campaigns will manage all services for the pilgrims. They are responsible for accommodation, meals, transport, and medical support. From the moment pilgrims depart Hamad International Airport until their return, the campaigns will provide continuous assistance.
Furthermore, Awqaf organized several coordination meetings with campaign officials. These sessions aimed to ensure smooth service delivery, operational harmony, and clear communication channels. The ministry also introduced a standardized legal contract that protects both pilgrims and campaign operators. This contract outlines all services and acts as a binding agreement.
Regarding pricing, Al Misifri clarified that Awqaf does not set prices for Hajj packages. Each campaign has the freedom to offer services based on its preferred quality tier. Consequently, pilgrims can choose packages according to their needs and budgets.
To ensure high-quality services, the ministry conducted multiple field visits to Saudi Arabia. In partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Muttawiffy Hujjaj South Asia Company, the team inspected tent facilities and accommodation sites in Mina and Arafat. These visits helped verify that all preparations meet the required standards.
In addition, Awqaf set up a dedicated hotline (132) to answer public inquiries. A specialized team is available to provide guidance, clarify procedures, and assist with any concerns. This initiative ensures open communication and prompt support.
Al Misifri praised the strong cooperation with Saudi authorities. He also highlighted the benefits of early planning by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which made this year’s arrangements more efficient. As a result, time and effort were saved for both campaign organizers and the pilgrims.
Finally, Awqaf reminded all Hajj 2025 Qatar pilgrims to follow instructions issued by Saudi authorities. Pilgrims must carry their official Hajj permits at all times while in Makkah and the holy sites. This measure ensures safety, facilitates movement, and helps pilgrims perform their rites with peace of mind.
Awqaf reaffirmed its commitment to serving pilgrims with excellence, wishing all travelers a blessed Hajj, spiritual fulfillment, and a safe return home.
