Qatar Condemns Violations of Its Sovereignty by Iran and Israel

Qatar strongly condemned recent violations of Qatar’s sovereignty by Iran and Israel. The government described both actions as unlawful attacks that breached international norms.

Speaking at the Shura Council’s 54th annual session, the Amir said Qatar had faced two major violations of Qatar’s sovereignty. The first incident came from Iran, and the second from Israel. He explained that Israel targeted a residential neighborhood that housed members of the Hamas negotiating delegation. The attack also killed six people — one Qatari citizen and five Palestinians. He emphasized that these incidents went beyond military aggression. They represented direct attacks on Qatar’s independence and its role as a regional peace mediator.

Moreover, the Amir noted that the international community strongly rejected both acts. Many nations expressed support for Qatar and called the attacks a serious breach of international law. The Amir said Qatar had turned these challenges into motivation to grow stronger and more resilient. He also stated that Israel’s assault on a mediating nation broke all global laws and moral principles. He called the act “state terrorism,” saying it showed total disregard for peace and diplomacy.

Furthermore, he explained that the global response shocked the attackers. The United Nations Security Council issued a unanimous statement condemning the aggression. All member states praised Qatar’s efforts to promote peace and mediation. The Amir reaffirmed that Qatar will continue its mission for peace despite repeated violations of Qatar’s sovereignty. He said the country will not allow intimidation to weaken its diplomatic role.

He also stressed that Qatar’s strength comes from unity and international respect. The government will keep defending its territory, citizens, and independence through firm and lawful action. In addition, he reminded the world that true peace requires respect for national sovereignty and international cooperation. Qatar, he said, will always stand by these principles.

In conclusion, Qatar remains determined to protect its people, promote stability, and lead efforts toward peace in the region. The country made it clear that violations of Qatar’s sovereignty will never go unanswered.
