Oman’s Foreign Minister Meets Lebanese President

Beirut: On Wednesday, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, the Foreign Minister of Oman, met with General Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, at the Presidential Palace in Beirut. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, highlighting the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the discussion, both sides expressed their mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in various fields. Sayyid Badr and President Aoun discussed ways to improve political, economic, and cultural exchanges. They also explored opportunities for collaboration in regional issues and international forums.

Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to the Lebanese President. The Foreign Minister emphasized Oman’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty. Oman values its strong ties with Lebanon and is eager to deepen its partnership in areas that promote mutual benefits.

The meeting also underscored the importance of continued dialogue between Lebanon and Oman. Both leaders agreed that open communication would pave the way for further collaboration on pressing regional and international challenges.

Lebanon faces a challenging political landscape, but Oman remains hopeful that diplomatic efforts like these will help find peaceful solutions to regional conflicts. Sayyid Badr reiterated Oman’s commitment to promoting peace and stability across the Middle East, in line with its longstanding foreign policy of neutrality and constructive diplomacy.

The discussions also included topics related to economic cooperation and potential trade opportunities between the two nations. Lebanon has been undergoing a difficult economic period, and Oman expressed its willingness to support Lebanon’s recovery through various initiatives.
