Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, held talks with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in London on Wednesday, reaffirming the longstanding strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting, held at the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, focused on strengthening cooperation across political, economic, cultural and scientific fields, with both sides expressing their commitment to expanding bilateral ties.
The ministers also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, highlighting the importance of preventive diplomacy, closer coordination and dialogue to reduce tensions and support peace and stability.
Discussions also covered maritime security and the need to safeguard global supply chains and international trade in line with international law.
Both ministers reiterated the strong mutual trust that underpins Oman-UK relations and agreed to maintain close coordination on issues of shared interest to further enhance cooperation and contribute to regional and international stability.
