Oman’s Association for Children with Disabilities marked Purple Saturday by hosting a recreational and awareness event for children with disabilities and their families at the association’s centers.
The initiative was designed to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in society while reinforcing the principles of equal opportunities and accessibility. Organizers also sought to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and encourage institutions to create more supportive and inclusive environments.
The celebration featured a range of interactive games, competitions and recreational activities that brought together children and their families in a welcoming atmosphere.
The association said the event reflected the importance of community support and social responsibility in empowering people with disabilities and helping them participate more fully in all aspects of life.
