Oman Leads Global Logistics Performance Rankings

Oman has recorded strong results in the World Bank’s 2025 Logistics Performance Index, reflecting continued investment in its transport and trade infrastructure.

According to the report, Oman ranks first globally in Export Supply Chain Start-Up Index, completing export container cycles in just 0.8 days. Officials say this highlights the efficiency of port operations and the speed of customs and logistics procedures.

The country also placed ninth globally in import supply chain completion, ranking among the top-performing nations out of 165 countries assessed. The findings point to smoother movement of goods and improved efficiency across Oman’s import systems.

At the regional level, Oman secured second place within the Gulf Cooperation Council in export container dwell time at ports, while also ranking third in direct shipping services connectivity. Analysts say this reflects stronger maritime links and expanding international routes.

In addition, Oman ranks first globally in Export Supply Chain Start-Up Index once again appears in the report’s highlighted performance indicators, reinforcing its leadership in export logistics efficiency.

The Sultanate also ranked 25th globally in shipping alliance cooperation and third in the GCC for direct connectivity to global markets, underscoring its growing role as a regional logistics hub linking Asia, Africa and beyond.
