Next Tech Gen Empowers Kuwait’s Future Tech Talent

Next Tech Gen is transforming how young Kuwaitis gain tech skills and industry experience. Talabat, the leading MENA online ordering platform, launched this program to equip the next generation with practical knowledge. The initiative provides workshops, university visits, and interactive sessions covering product development, data, logistics, AI, automation, digital platforms, strategy, as well as marketing. Through these opportunities, students learn essential skills and gain hands-on exposure to real-world technology challenges.

The program began in partnership with CODED, the first coding bootcamp and tech academy in the MENA region. The kickoff workshop focused on data and product development, including application building. Held at CODED’s offices, the session welcomed 70 participants, including undergraduates, bootcamp graduates, and professionals shifting to tech careers. Talabat experts shared practical case studies, followed by interactive discussions to strengthen understanding.

Abdullah Al-Mansour, Director of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, highlighted the program’s goal. “Technology’s true impact comes from investing in people,” he said. “Through Next Tech Gen, we also help young talent build meaningful careers.” He added that the initiative encourages the next generation to develop solutions shaping Kuwait’s digital future.

Hashim Behbehani, Co-founder and COO of CODED, emphasized practical skills combined with AI knowledge. “Next Tech Gen sets a benchmark for tech training,” he said. “It prepares youth to use advanced tools effectively while meeting global standards.” Participants learn to collect, analyze, and process data, forming a foundation for innovative digital solutions.

The program also supports Kuwait Vision 2035 by fostering local digital capabilities. Talabat builds on its broader efforts, including sponsoring Academy X, CODED’s women empowerment program, and hosting school and university visits. These initiatives strengthen Kuwait’s tech ecosystem and give students exposure to real industry practices.

By combining workshops, mentorship, and expert-led sessions, Next Tech Gen equips participants with skills to thrive in technology careers. Each session strengthens knowledge and confidence, ensuring Kuwait’s youth can lead in innovation. The program promises lasting impact on students, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.
