Minister of Public Health HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud paid an official visit to Sidra Medicine on Monday. He was briefed on the hospital’s comprehensive healthcare services and contributions to medical education and research.
Accompanied by Sidra Medicine CEO Dr. Iyabo Tinubu Karch, the Minister toured various departments of the facility. Sidra Medicine is part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. He met with staff providing specialized care for women, children, and adolescents.
Sidra Medicine offers a wide range of tertiary healthcare services. These span multiple specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, maternal-fetal medicine, oncology, genetics, and mental health, among others.
The visit comes as part of a series of field inspections by the Minister to assess healthcare provision across Qatar’s public and private medical institutions. It highlights the Ministry of Public Health’s ongoing commitment to advancing the quality of care. Moreover, it aligns services with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country’s Third National Development Strategy.
HE Al Mahmoud emphasized the Ministry’s support for healthcare institutions striving to deliver services that meet the highest international standards.
