LuLu Accelerates Gulf Growth With New Saudi Hypermarket

LuLu Expansion took a significant step forward with the opening of a new hypermarket in Saudi Arabia. The launch signals stronger regional growth and deeper commitment to the Gulf retail market. Moreover, the new store reinforces LuLu Retail Company’s long-term investment strategy across the GCC.

The company opened the hypermarket inside Aziz Mall, a busy retail destination in Saudi Arabia. As a result, LuLu now operates 65 stores across the Saudi market. Furthermore, the opening reflects steady progress within the company’s broader regional roadmap.

The new hypermarket spans more than 108,000 square feet. Consequently, shoppers gain access to a wide range of groceries and fresh food options. Additionally, the store offers household essentials and lifestyle products tailored to local demand.

LuLu designed the outlet to support both in-store and digital shopping experiences. Therefore, the company continues strengthening its omni-channel retail model. Moreover, management aims to deliver consistent service across physical and online platforms.

The Saudi launch follows a recent retail opening in the United Arab Emirates. In November, LuLu introduced a new mini market in Dubai’s Oud Metha district. Meanwhile, the company continues reviewing locations for future launches across major Gulf cities.

Financial performance supports the expansion strategy. The Abu Dhabi-listed retailer reported strong profit growth during the first nine months of 2025. Notably, net profit rose by 7.5 percent year on year during the period. Consequently, higher earnings provide capital for additional regional investments.

LuLu Expansion also reflects changing consumer behavior across the Middle East. Shoppers increasingly prefer large-format stores offering convenience and variety. As a result, LuLu continues investing in hypermarkets that combine scale, pricing, and product diversity.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia remains a strategic priority for regional retailers. Population growth and rising consumer spending support long-term retail demand. Therefore, LuLu’s expanded presence strengthens its competitive position within the Kingdom.

Industry analysts note that Gulf retailers now focus on operational efficiency and digital integration. Similarly, LuLu emphasizes supply chain strength and localized product sourcing. Consequently, the company enhances customer loyalty while protecting margins.

Looking ahead, LuLu plans additional store openings across the GCC region. Moreover, management continues evaluating opportunities in high-traffic urban locations. LuLu Expansion remains central to the company’s growth narrative across Middle Eastern retail markets.
