Kuwaiti Embassies Celebrate National and Liberation Days Across Argentina, Canada, and New Zealand

Kuwaiti embassies in Argentina, Canada, and New Zealand recently held grand receptions to commemorate Kuwait’s 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day. These events were attended by high-ranking officials, diplomats, and key figures from the host countries, marking the significance of Kuwait’s independence and liberation.

In Buenos Aires, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Argentina, Abdulaziz Al-Bisher, delivered heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait. He expressed pride in the strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and Argentina, which have been thriving for 56 years. The event was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Argentina’s Cabinet Chief, Guillermo Francos, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and cultural figures. Ambassador Al-Bisher emphasized the commitment of both nations to further enhance their cooperation in various fields.

A highlight of the evening was a performance by the Argentine Police Band, which played both the Kuwaiti and Argentine national anthems. In addition, several key landmarks in Buenos Aires were illuminated with the colors of the Kuwaiti flag, further reflecting the joyous celebration.

In Ottawa, Canada, the Kuwaiti embassy hosted another reception that was attended by diplomats, government officials, and dignitaries. Guests shared their well wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress and prosperity. Meanwhile, in Wellington, New Zealand, Kuwait’s Ambassador, Sheikh Sabah Nasser Al-Malik Al-Sabah, also expressed his congratulations to the political leadership, government, and citizens of Kuwait. The reception was graced by Jo McKeagg, Principal Adviser to the Deputy Secretary for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia, along with other senior New Zealand officials and diplomats.

Ambassador Al-Sabah took the opportunity to celebrate the strong ties between Kuwait and New Zealand, highlighting the continued development of their relationship. Both events reflected Kuwait’s commitment to fostering diplomatic relations and promoting cultural exchange with nations around the world.
